ABOUT THE AMCA

The Associated Minority Contractors Of America (AMCA), is a non-profit minority business trade association, established to address the business needs and concerns of minority contractors on a statewide and regional basis.

AMCA’s membership consists of, but is not limited to, general contractors, subcontractors, engineering consultants, construction managers, manufacturers, suppliers, local minority and women-owned contractors and sub-contractors, state and local government agencies, attorneys, and accountants.

As a full service membership organization, AMCA is committed to the enhancement of member firms and provides members with a variety of programs and services. These services are intended to reach far beyond the minority construction entrepreneur and extend to people they employ and to the communities in which they live and operate.

The Associated Minority Contractors of America-Phoenix Chapter (AMCA) extends an invitation to you and your company to join an organization that is advocating on behalf of minority contractors in Arizona and throughout the region. The AMCA remains the principal trade association in Arizona representing and advocating on behalf of all minority and women-owned contractors.

The AMCA in Phoenix and in Tucson have been instrumental in working with State, County and City governmental procurement/contracting agencies to ensure that Minority Business Contractors participate in publicly financed contracting opportunities. AMCA has also worked with and continues to work with non-minority majority firms and prime contractors to increase minority participation and provide contracting opportunities in the private sector.

Your AMCA membership can provide your company with many services on a statewide and local level, including but not limited to:

· AMCA Weekly Procurement Bulletin
· AMCA Quarterly Newsletter
· Advocacy with local governmental D/M/WBE programs
· Networking with other Minority Contractors and Prime Contractors
· Seminars and Workshops tailored to meet local, regional and national   needs

The AMCA is assisting our members as well as other small businesses that are seeking business opportunities with the upcoming Tourism and Sports Authority (TSA) Multipurpose Facility. The TSA has made a commitment to ensure that Arizona’s Minority and Small Business Enterprise community participates in this project. The TSA has contracted with the Associated Minority Contractors of America (AMCA) to work with Hunt Construction Group and the TSA’s construction consultants to establish, monitor and implement the DBE participation goals for the design, engineering, construction and operation of the new TSA Multipurpose Facility.

AMCA also hosts an annual Golf Tournament. Click here for photos from our most recent event.
